Mother's Day Tea

This school year has gone by so fast. I can't believe that Luke, my baby, will be in 1st Grade! He has had the best Kindergarten teacher, Miss Jennifer. She is so good with the kids and they all love her. Last Tuesday they had a Mother's Day Tea for all the moms. Luke was so excited and couldn't wait for me to see everything they had done and watch their program. When we first got to the school they had us wait outside the office. Miss Jennifer then came and told all the moms that when we got to the room we would take turns going to the door and then our child would come and take us to our seat. Luke had the biggest smile on his face when it came his turn to walk me to my seat. At our seat was all of the things they had made for us. They had a mother's day journal, a rainbow book and a flower pot they painted with a flower already planted in it. After everyone was seated they started their program and sang several songs. Miss Jennifer also read a couple of books. They all did such a great job. After the program, each child fixed a plate of food for their mom and took to them. The whole thing was so sweet. Miss Jennifer did a great job, as usual! When we were all done eating the kids could go home with us. I had to go to work but Luke was able to spend the day with Jeff. He was so excited to have some time with just the two of them. They went out for lunch and then spent the afternoon fishing. Here are some pictures from the Mother's Day Tea.
