Father/Daughter Tea

We had a great weekend. Friday night we stayed home except for the hour or so that Jeff took the kids to Wal-Mart to spend some money they had. So that gave me a little time at home by myself which was very nice!

Then Saturday was a busy day for us. Jeff and Kylee had reservations for a Father/Daughter Tea at Mrs. Potts Playhouse. It is part of Miss Mable's Tea Room here in Dickson. Kylee had been counting down the days until her date with Daddy. She was so excited. We had found a red dress the weekend before that was on clearance and as soon as she saw it she knew that was what she wanted to wear on her date. When they left the house Jeff had a stuffed dog and chocolate rose sitting on her seat in the van. They had a blast! The girls were taken back and started getting dressed up. They got to pick a dress from all of their dress-up clothes. Then the ladies there fixed their hair all up and put make-up on them. While this was happening they served lunch to the Dads and Grandpas. Then the girls put on a fashion show for them and played a few games. Jeff said there was glitter every where. They had bowls of glitter and put it all over the girls. Then the girls were able to eat their lunch. Our friends the Mitchells were there at the same time. Christina and I had made sure that we got the same time for their reservations. We had not seen the girls and Tracy in a long time so after the tea they all come over to our house. Jacob was so excited to see Grace. They were just too cute together. They gave each other a huge hug. After visiting for awhile and letting the kids play we went to a new place in town called Hopperz. It is an inflatable bounce place that has recently opened here in Dickson. The kids had a great time and were worn out when we left. We had no problem getting them to bed Saturday night. Jeff had a great time also and was very sore Sunday! I took lots of pictures so will have some to share soon.

On Sunday my baby turned 4! It is so hard to believe that Luke is four now. It seems like just yesterday we were driving back and forth to see him in the NICU because he was 6 weeks early. You can't even tell now that he was a preemie. He is becoming such a big boy! We celebrated his birthday with Jeff's family on Sunday afternoon. Then last night the youth at church had pizza after church and went bowling. They all seemed to have a great time.

I am sharing a page from the pictures that Jeff took at the Father/Daughter Tea. He is such a great Daddy and Kylee is such a Daddy's girl. He is great at having a girl and doing all the girlie stuff with her.

Happy Birthday to Luke. The Tea thing looks so fun. The daddy daughter date's are such a wonderful thing and I want to get that started with Hannah and Barry. The page looks great also. Thanks for sharing.
